Teachers catching flack for not wanting to return to classrooms is the result of nothing more than the same problem that has plagued much of the western world for decades. We feel entitled to the labor of others, that can do work we cannot do, even as they make a wage paid by someone else.
We do with doctors, teachers, even cashiers and fast food establishments.
This all revolves an entitlement problem. Put the word ‘public’ in front of something and everyone wants their piece no matter what it costs the person doing the actual work.
