Take the 80/20 a few steps further.

100 people have $10,000. 20 of them have $8,000. Well, of those 20 people, there is usually another 80/20 distribution. So now you have 4 people with $6,400. Do it once more and you end with one person having nearly 50% of the original $10,000.

This same math typically works across domains and here’s the kicker, its a natural distribution, there isn’t really anything anyone can do to “fix” it.
