because it would allow us to risk inventing new occupations that do not even exist yet.

Necessity is the mother of invention. This notion that there would some new awakening in human creativity because people “wouldn’t have to work” is absurd and denies human nature. Not to mention, most of the people that write about this, like the Andrew Yang’s of the world, were born “different”. Yang has a propensity to project his drive and ambition on everyone. All he has to do is go work a menial job for a few years and he will soon realize that a vast majority of people are barley capable of those. Not everyone is born with limitless potential and if you pay them to do nothing, most people are not going to fill the void with fruitful endeavors that push the limits of their creativity.

Human beings are animals, and animals will be as lazy as nature allows them to be.
