In the US, a $12.5k per year UBI to 250 million adults would cost $3.1 trillion per year. The represents roughly 90% of al Federal tax receipts, another 25% of all total domestic wages, and about 15% of total GDP.

It won’t/can’t happen. It is too expensive. Ten years of QE by the Fed would pay for less than 2 years of UBI at even this modest scale.

The UBI is a pipe dream.
