I think you are correct, and I now that I go back and revisit the post, I believe I took the author out of context. I focused on the headline rather than the content.

To change, don’t feel bad about feeling bad about yourself. It’s normal. Once you accept how normal it is, that burden gets lifted off of you and you can begin anew.

I should probably read more carefully before forming my opinions.
