I think my point is that ALL of the evidence flies in the face of that opinion. It obviously works. Just look at raw population numbers. Quality of life is subjective, so we must find things that are not. Being able to feed 7.5 billion people is objective, tangible, and obvious.
The issue I take with your position is that the so-called “ideal” systems so closely mimic systems (in fact its first principles are identical) that have murdered 10s of millions, its impossible to pretend that “we will get it right next time”. The so-called “ideal” replacement requires a cult like following of ideals and doesnt rely on human nature.
