I probably complain too much about the men’s perspective of these apps. Most of us see less than a couple of matches a month and obviously even fewer dates. I suppose I should have considered the alternative. Seeing many matches and being exposed to just how ridiculous “most” people can be. With that said, I am done with the online dating apps and have started volunteering to build a new social group. Having recently given up alcohol, which I leaned on for social activity for nearly 15 years, I had to “get creative” and my first day at a Habitat for Humanity build site was great. The plan is to build a habit of going a couple of times a week to meet people and socialize while getting some exercise and helping people. Its pretty much a win-win-win.
