I am almost certain that smoke filled train cars and locked auditoriums are preferable to the current media circus. The direct election of Presidential (Primary) candidates and Senators has been an abject failure. Just look at the state of the nation. The notion that more inclusion is somehow the solution to these problems is asinine. We don’t need a popularity contest, we need leadership, and the current system, in the current media environment, social and otherwise, turns these very important Democratic functions into a high school drama.
