Cancel culture has its roots in the purity testing of both fascist and communist ideology. You use the term "the dark side of cancel culture" as if there is light anywhere to be found which indicates you may actually believe you or the people who practice this somehow know when its ok to wield it. "They" dont. Its mob rule and people who join mobs are dangerous.
