Can racial anxiety occur in reverse?

When a person of color feels racial anxiety, they are uncomfortable because the white person may be racist and do or say something harmful as a result.

I have a very difficult time responding to and specifically questioning or disagreeing with a lot of things racial minorities and even women say or write out of fear of being cast as a racist or sexist.

In contrast, white Democrats were much less inclined to have these exchanges, with 74% of them labelling such conversations stressful.

I think this is related but a layer even deeper. Democrats fear they will be canceled if they don’t take a strong enough stance “in favor” of the marginalized group and as a result “panic” when they talk about it.

Just curious about your thoughts on this topic. Great article.
